Her Dog Died. But He Didn’t Stop Having Fun.
Susan asked her 🌈 dog Frankie if he’d come back. He did. Just not the way she thought… 😄
My friend Jen invited me onto her podcast a few weeks ago.
Her show is called Aligned Living and I was her first guest ever — which felt very fitting, because the whole thing started with the accountability work we’d been doing together over the summer. Watching Jen step deeper into her own alignment has been one of my favourite things this year.
We covered a lot of ground. Vegan journeys. Manifestation misconceptions. Following intuition. And of course, animal communication.
Here’s a taste of what we got into.
Jen and I swapped our vegan stories and they are surprisingly similar: neither of us grew up dreaming of tofu. 😄
I went vegetarian as a teenager in Germany — no role models, no internet, no books. Just followed this quiet impulse that animals are our peers. Fell off it in my twenties (hotel kitchen food, long story). Then my husband and I got a dog, and I couldn’t hold the contradiction anymore. How can I love this little being so much and eat another being exactly like him? 😞
From there it crept. Oat milk testing. Veganising recipes. Finally, on 4422 (the 4th of April 2022), a German documentary about a dairy farmer who turned his farm into a cow retirement home tipped me over the edge. I just knew: I can’t be part of this system anymore.
Jen’s route went through health — problems with skin and sinuses due to dairy — to a 30-day experiment that made her feel so good she never went back. Then the animal side found her, the way it does.
One thing we both said on the episode: being vegan isn’t the finish line. It’s more like a doorway into living more compassionately — towards animals, other humans, and yourself.
I’m a longtime fan of Abraham Hicks and the Law of Attraction, so Jen asked me about it.
Here’s what actually changed things for me: not reading about manifestation, but sitting down every morning and feeling my future work as if it already existed. Feeling the excitement in my body. “I love this so much. I’d do it even if you didn’t pay me.”
About a week of that, and things started moving. I followed one curiosity, then another, then another. I never decided to guide pet mums to speak with their soul animals. It arrived, breadcrumb by breadcrumb.
Jen calls them intuitive breadcrumbs. On the episode we talked about how they only make sense in hindsight — in the moment, it’s just “Ooh, that sounds interesting.”
What most people get wrong about manifestation is thinking it’s about thinking 😄. It’s not. It’s way easier: It’s about feeling. 🤩Â
Traditional animal communication — what people usually book with an animal psychic or pet intuitive — works like this: you send them a photo, they connect telepathically with your companion animal, ask your questions, and relay the answers back to you.
My HeartKIN session works differently. It’s a deep relaxation where you connect with your animal directly. Heart to heart. You ask your own questions. You hear — and viscerally feel — their answers yourself.
Whether they’re still by your side or have already crossed over (I call them 🌈 pets).Â
Sounds a bit abstract? Bear with me…
A couple of months before recording, Jen had a session with me and her 15-year-old cat Menorah. Health questions, business questions, life questions — the whole thing.
Mid-episode she plays a clip from that session.
In it, I ask Menorah a question — and she answers. Herself. Out loud. At exactly the right second.
I’m not going to spoil it for you 🥰.
Watch the full episode of Aligned Living below — the Menorah’s clip is in there 😃

Julia had been carrying a lot of guilt. Then her cat, her turkey and finally her dog all had something to say about it. And they made a pretty compelling case…

Most cats have a job. Some catch mice. Some demand dinner. Suki apparently does this…
