The Cat Who Didn’t Want to Talk About Dying
Hannah had a question she really wanted her cat to answer. But when Mika finally spoke, she completely ignored the question—and gave her something much more important instead…
this is not Suki
Here’s a question for you: why does a cat drag her mum out of bed in the middle of the night to sit in the living room with her?
Paula wanted to know. Because Suki does this most nights. And other nights, she just sleeps next to Paula in bed. And Paula said it almost felt planned.
So we asked her.
Suki’s answer? “I’m working with her energy field.”
Okay then 😳
And when we asked what the difference is — why the living room some nights, why the bed on others — Suki said Paula sometimes needs her own space, and the living room is where she can be by herself.
Fine. Makes sense.
But then we asked the next question. Why does Suki sometimes sleeps in the bed?
Her answer:
Turns out that’s actually her job in the family. Balancing the energy of the household. Doing attunements on all of them — apparently on a regular basis. ‘Removing barriers to connection’, is how she described it.
While everyone sleeps.
Paula could feel her energy laughing while she told us this. Suki knows exactly how funny this sounds. She’s doing serious work up there at night — and she’s having a laugh about it 😃
So there you have it. The next time your cat wakes you at 3am and stares at you… maybe she’s not being annoying. Maybe she’s just doing her rounds 😃

A YouTube video I almost didn’t watch, one simple exercise, and a series of synchronicities I never saw coming. Here’s how I accidentally found the “work” I love so much.
