Her Dog Died. But He Didn’t Stop Having Fun.

this is not Frankie

When Susan came to me for a HeartKIN Connection, she was grieving the loss of her dog, Frankie.

He had died after being bitten by a snake, and Susan was wondering if there was anything she could have done differently. If she’d missed something. If she’d somehow failed him.

So we asked Frankie.
And he didn’t even let me finish the question.
“No, no, no. Don’t even think of that.”

Okay then 😄

But Frankie had more to say about what had happened.

He showed Susan that his death had been part of his soul plan. He hadn’t known exactly when or how it would happen, but when the opportunity came, he took it.

And when Susan asked why, the message was clear: For you to learn that you can’t control everything.

Wow 🫪

That was something Susan said she needed to hear.

But she had another question for him: Would he ever come back to the family? Maybe as another dog?

His answer surprised her. “I already do.”

Right, okay… 😲

But how?
How does a soul technically jump from one body to another?
That’s literally what Susan asked him.

And this is where things got really interesting.

Instead of feeling another dog, she got the feeling that Frankie “catches a ride.”

She wasn’t quite sure what that meant.
In fact, she had no idea.

I asked him if he could elaborate on it or show her what he meant.

All she got was: “No. But he just said he has a lot of fun doing it.” 😂

Susan had never heard of that concept before.

So afterwards, she messaged me:

“When Frankie said he ‘catches a ride’ you said you understood what he meant. What does that exactly mean? I kind of understand but not fully how that can work lol is he just spirit?”

Fair question.

So here’s my best explanation of what I think Frankie meant.

When our dog Chopstick died, we came out of the crematorium just as his smoke left the chimney.

And there, flying above us, was a bird of prey — a Red Kite.

My husband loves Red Kites and we watch them almost daily.

And this one was different.

It wasn’t soaring or circling.

It was doing what I can only describe as pirouettes in mid-air.

Kinda like dancing.

We looked at each other and just knew.

That’s Chopstick.

Not that Chopstick had literally become the bird.

It felt more like he was somehow using the bird to ‘catch a ride’ as a way to let us know he was still with us.

Looking through its eyes.

Moving through its body.

Giving us something we would recognise as a sign.

And Crispy had done something similar.

She had only just crossed over when a mosquito appeared and became so ridiculously persistent that I eventually heard her voice in my head:

“You can’t kill me twice in one day, Mummy.”

I still don’t know exactly how any of this works technically.

But I do know that what Frankie, Chopstick and Crispy were showing us felt very similar.

I’m still here.

And apparently…

I’m enjoying ride. 😃
