How I found the thing I’d been looking for for so long

Chopstick and Maui on my favourite armchair

Some time ago my husband sent me a Neville Goddard video and kept telling me I should watch it.

Eventually I gave in. 😄

I can’t say I liked the video very much.

It was one of those soulless AI-generated ones.

You know the type… AI reading a script with all the warmth of a fridge. 😂

But right in the middle of it was one sentence that completely stopped me in my tracks.

Neville says,

"Feel from the end."

I’d actually heard Abraham-Hicks and Bashar say almost exactly the same thing before. But for whatever reason… this was the moment it finally landed.

I finally understood what they meant.

At the time I already loved my life.

I wasn’t desperately looking for a way out or trying to reinvent myself.

I just had this feeling that there was something else.

Something I was here to do.

The only tiny problem was…

I had absolutely no clue what that might be. 😂

I thought, “Well… let’s give it a go.”

So for about a week I made myself a cup of coffee every morning, curled up in my favourite armchair (the one from the pic above) and spent a few minutes imagining I’d already found the most satisfying “job” imaginable.

Not the job itself.

Just the feeling.

I’d imagine myself chatting to people and saying,

"I LOVE what I do sooooo much.”
“It's so satisfying."
"I could happily do this all day long."
"I'd do it even if nobody paid me."

Then I’d just sit there for a few minutes and really soak that feeling in.

No trying to picture a business.

No trying to work out what my purpose should be.

No vision board.

Just me, a cup of coffee and a future version of me who was absolutely loving what I do for “work”. ☕😄

I kept doing that every morning.

Then life got… interesting.

Not because angels suddenly appeared in my living room or anything. 😂

Nothing dramatic happened overnight.

I just found myself becoming curious about things that had never really caught my attention before.

I became fascinated by one spiritual teacher, who eventually led me to Gaia.

Once I was there, I completely lost interest in him… 😂

…and became fascinated by someone else instead.

She eventually led me to a do a course.

If you’d asked me back then where all of this was heading, I honestly couldn’t have told you.

Looking back now, I can see I’d accidentally been following Bashar’s Formula all along.

Follow your highest excitement.

Then follow the next one.

And the next one.

At the time, though, I wasn’t thinking about The Formula. I was just following my curiosity.

Eventually I started doing practice sessions.

The sessions weren’t actually about animals.

But every now and then the person I was working with would unexpectedly find themselves talking to one of theirs.

And that was always my very favourite bit.

It was where I got excited and wanted to explore more.

The rest of the session was fascinating too…

But the moment somebody’s dog, horse or cat appeared… I was completely hooked.

I remember thinking, “Wow this is sooo interesting and fascinating and fun 🤩.”

The exact feeling I’d been sitting in my armchair imagining only a few months earlier.

That still blows my mind.

Every breadcrumb simply led to the next one… until eventually they led me to the animals.

And that’s probably my biggest takeaway from all of this:

Because I wasn’t busy trying to force the answer I was free to notice what genuinely fascinated me.

And that’s how I try to live my life now: Not knowing exactly where I’m going…

Just following the next breadcrumb… 🍞
